YesBut I was nearly late

I was on my way to Guy’s Hospital, looked at my watch 20 minutes before my appointment, 5minutes walk to get there - time for a detour through Borough Market. Mistake, big mistake.

Borough Market on Thursday, Friday and Saturday is the Mecca for foodies. You want fresh meat, vegetables, fruit etc, straight off the farm, Borough Market is the place for you. Same thing goes for cheese, fish and freshly baked bread of vast varieties, cakes, wine, olives and nuts.

But it isn’t the place to go if, like me, you’re a compulsive photographer on his way to an appointment. All those shapes and colours are irresistible - just one more shot before I leave. I was nearly late for my appointment.
